On Saturday we had a birthday party for Bean and on Sunday Poppa (my dad) ran the Grand Rapids marathon ~ yes he ran all 26.2 miles of it! He even ran holding Bird for the last little bit before the finish line and actually crossed the finish line with Bean and Bug running beside him.
We are *so* proud of him! I, personally, cannot fathom running 26.2 miles! Such a great accomplishment :o)
When we got home, Poppa had a little R&R in the jacuzzi tub so he wouldn't be so stiff/sore the next day.

Poppa and Philipp ~ Philipp followed Poppa along the marathon and was able to get the long-sleeve shirt that Poppa shed and also his MP3 Player and other things....he also ran a few hundred yards with Poppa at each "spectator point." :o)
