There is the VERY long steel beam that is now in our basement.
Here are some pictures of the old beam being removed. They braced the house and cut down the old beam in sections.
And the new steel beam is up! YAY! The house was sure creaking and making all kinds of SCARY noises as they jacked the steel beam into place. We feel MUCH better now that the beam has been replaced ~ I don't have to worry about the boys falling through the house to the basement with all the wild and crazy romping around they do! :o)
