At the end of June Bug went to a soccer camp (and he actually enjoyed it ~ GASP!~) while Bean was at Cub Scout camp with Weston. They both had a blast. After looking through the pictures I decided that would be a "dad and me" thing....way too dirty and dusty and too many little boys for me (I can only *imagine* the noise level and amount of energy...there wouldn't be enough Excedrine Migraine for me to "enjoy" that camp ~ HA!).
Then this past week Bean went to a British Soccer Camp here in our town. He started out in the 6-9 year old camp, but we didn't think he was really getting challenged, so I asked if he could be moved up to the 10-14 year old camp (which he was moved up). Bean said he liked playing with the older kids better. At the end of the week they were given a paper with coach's comments on it. Bean received very nice comments and his coach said that he had an accurate and strong kick as well as looking comfortable playing with the older (and a bit bigger) kids.
Now this week we are gearing up for a big city-wide rummage sale and car cruise through our little town. We have a ton of people descend on us for the weekend ~ it is a lot of fun =) The boys love to look at all the old cars that cruise through the town.
