Bug had a dinosaur themed birthday with a volcano cake ~ that oozed lava! He was quite excited about it.
Bird's cake was a dump truck with dirt cake in it. Bird thought that his birthday cake was exceptionally tasty!
While the rest of us were enjoying some birthday cake, we caught Bird digging through the birthday presents! :o) He is such a silly little guy.
He thinks he is mighty big stuff now that he is walking around like a big boy. It is so much fun to watch him because he is so excited over this new development.
Here he is looking mighty happy with his "cell phone" that his brothers picked out for him. I took Bean and Bug to the store and had them decide what they wanted to give Bird for his birthday. Bean decided he though Bird would like the cell phone because it had more buttons ~ and I think Bean is right!
Uncle Tony didn't wrap his gift, instead he handed Bug the keys to his car and showed him which button to press to open the trunk. So Bug opened the trunk and went to peek in.....there was a roboraptor in there!!!! Both boys (or maybe I should say ALL the boys...even the "big boys") were excited to see how that worked. Uncle Tony was thinking too ~ he brought batteries ~ yea!
Bird had great fun chasing down the roboraptor, knocking it over and wanting to play with it. His brothers and father were not nearly as amused with that little game as Bird was.
Here Bug is showing us how you can pet the roboraptor under its chin and make it "purr." It is quite the toy! I think he and Bean will have lots of fun playing with it and figuring out all the different things they can make the "pet dinosaur" do.
It was a fun-filled day for ALL the boys! They went to bed late and were up early to play with all the new exciting treasures Bug and Bird were given for their birthdays.
