The Life and Times of the Swiss

Philipp came over on Sunday afternoon and we took him cross-country skiing at Pigeon Creek (which is a great place to cross-country ski ~ groomed trails ~ lit trails through the woods...). It was his first time cross-country skiing....and we *think* he liked it ~

It was a pretty decent afternoon for skiing ~ it wasn't too windy in the woods and thankfully it wasn't too chilly either!





When we got back from skiing, our surly 2 year old ~ aka DoodleBird was VERY happy to see Philipp....as you can see he decided that Philipp was his own personal jungle-gym! Thankfully Mr. Surly was in a pretty great mood the rest of the afternoon and evening =)

After we had pizza (Philipp was over....do we have anything OTHER than pizza when he is here?!? Ha) Philipp brought out presents! He brought chocolate (YUM!) and the boys got to pick out what kind they wanted. Which sadly Doodlebird got into the next day and ate EVERYONE'S chocolate....I was so irritated at him!!!!

And a mini replica of the bells that the cows wear....we had the Monster Mutt ~ aka Rory ~ model it. It was rather funny because she couldn't figure out where the bell sounds were coming from =)
