The Last Day of August

We went down to Brian and Ginny's the last weekend in August to go out on the lake one last time before it got too cold. Philipp came down too and tried waterskiing for the first time and also tubing ~ I think he had a blast :o)

The water was surprisingly warm ~ there was a bit of squealing from the boys when they first got in the water (Bug and Bird) ~ so Bird was in the water for maybe 5 minutes. We worked with Bug a little more and he stayed in the water (on the tube.....I don't think he did ANY floating around in the water) for awhile.

Bean floating ~ I was *so* proud of him.....it was kind of scary for him to lay back the first time ~ but by the end of our swimming time he was an old pro!

This is what happens when you leave Philipp in charge of the baby....he feeds Bird powdered sugar donuts ~ ha ha! And less than 20 minutes later Bird was zonked out in my arms as we were riding around in the boat (Philipp was waterskiing).

Capt. Bird ~ it didn't take him long to locate the keys and remove them from the ignition :o)
