There wasn't a whole lot of wind so not too many kites were flying on Saturday ~ on Sunday more were flying, but we didn't get there in time to see them all.
And with the warm weather we had (and the cool water) ~ the mist rolled in off the lake. It was really strange because it looked all foggy around the beach and the campground ~ but just down the boardwalk a little way the sun was shining and there was little fog!

Getting buried...although Bug can't be still long enough to actually GET buried! I think it is some unwritten rule that you need to (a) dig a large hole and/or (b) get buried in the sand when you are at the beach =)
All the cousins....and see how sunny and blue the sky is? Yes this picture was taken the same day the previous ones were taken....we just aren't on the beach!
Bean and Bug spent the night at the campground with Brian and Ginny ~ so after church on Sunday we went to pick them up. Sunday was a VERY warm day ~ the cool breeze blowing off the lake was a very welcome respite from the heat!
DoodleBird wanted to fly his kite a little when we arrived ~ so after that was done we headed to the lighthouse.....the boys decided to take the "scenic route" there....
Whew! They made it all the way to the end!
