Easter Eggs

After flying kites it was time to dye some Easter eggs! Thankfully my reinforcements (my parents) were here to help with that. I didn't buy an egg-coloring kit this year, so we used food coloring and a white crayon and Dad rigged up a handy little egg-dipper :o)

Bug coloring an egg.
Bean coloring an egg.
And our #1 BIG helper ~ as you can see Mosh was able to distract him with some food...although do you also see that Chapin was close at hand, "just in case" ~ HA! I think Chapin tolerates Bird because she knows how much food he'll pass her way.
The eggs were drying before getting put into the fridge. They made special eggs for "Keef & Mikole" and one for Philipp too.
And we also dyed eggs the Swiss way. Philipp gave us a couple of packets of wood chips that we boiled in the water with the eggs ~ the Swiss colored eggs were less exciting for the boys to dye, but they sure had a vibrant color to them! You could defintely tell which eggs they were in the carton of colored eggs :o)

So sweet!! We didn't color eggs for the first time because almost all of our eggs are dark brown or blue/green already!! Lol
